An Apology

Hello.

Well, this is awkward. It has been more than a year since I last posted. I was actually in the middle of writing a new post before I logged off and didn't come back. I am thinking about reviving this blog, since I have a garden this year as well. I have already planted everything, since summer is close to being over, but I can post little pictures of how my plants are doing. Hopefully.

This is the draft of what I was going to post a year ago, but didn't end up doing so. I hope you enjoy since this is the conclusion of last year's blog series:

Day 6:
(5/21/18)

It's been a while, so I thought I would share updates on all of my plants. I am currently sitting outside on this lovely day, typing this out for you!

First up is my new cactus:
It is a clipping from my biology teacher's big cactus. He said that it would grow if I just stuck it in the ground, so that's what I did. We'll see how it does.

Next up are my corn plants, which I just planted in that very same garden that I planted my cactus in. Here are some of them:

That is the end of the draft. I intended to write more but I didn't get around to doing so. For the sake of conclusions, I will let you in on what happened to my plants.

  • For the cactus, it sprouted a new cactus, and then died, leaving me with the new cactus. It is in my garden now, alive.

  • The corn grew to be about thigh-high, and also started growing baby corn. That is, until my dogs Suki and Hobbs decided to rip them from the ground.

  • For the avocado plants, only one of them survived. I have been meaning to plant it, but it is still in the glass in the water.

  • My mint is growing like a weed. It was a mistake not growing it in a pot.

  • I am pretty sure my lavender is dead.

  • My basil and rosemary did not survive the winter.

  • The aloe plant is doing well. I stays indoors though.

I can't remember if I have anything else. If I did it's dead now.

I hope that gives you closure. I have bigger and better garden this year. I will hopefully be posting about it soon.

Hugs, Laura
